Miami, Oklahoma, The Miami Arts & Humanities Council, The 66 Cultural District and The City of Miami will h ost the inaugural MURAL FEST 66, which will debut four new murals by artists at the 500 Block of East Central, Saturday, April 29, 2017, 11:00am to 10:00 pm. The Festival is located on East Central, and celebrates all things local, with an Artists Gallery, music stage, food trucks and a dedicated children’s area.
The four spray – paint enthusiasts will begin painting the week of April 26 and will debut 10,000 Square feet of brand new murals on Saturday, April 29, during the Festival. The public is encouraged to come watch the artists make these walls come alive. The participating artists will sell art and exclusive merchandise.
Artists were selected for their exceptional talent and ability to paint large murals. The confirmed artists are: Jason Pawley, Dylan Bradway, Denise Duong and Kris Kanaly.
Jessica Stout, NEO A&M Fine Art Instructor, and her students will also create an original mural in the district.
